Job Description

As an Account Services Manager, you will work on marketing projects that are initiated within and outside of the Marketing Department, and that executed in partnership with other departments and people across Hillsdale College. You will have responsibility for providing account management services for the Marketing Team and marketing planning and services for other departments, and contribute to the overall success of projects, deliverables, outcomes, and satisfaction. Handling day-to-day account management and project management activities for a variety of accounts and marketing projects. This includes: Account planning, defining and documenting project and department requirements, writing creative briefs, working within cross-functional teams, maintaining budgets and schedules, fostering internal and external relationships, managing risk and change, preparing deliverables, providing detailed project reports, and forecasting future work and resource needs. Helping to manage and coordinate efforts between the creative, digital, video, NDO, and PR/media teams in support of assigned accounts and projects. Keeping informed and educated on best practices tied to marketing, related account work, and the higher education arena as a whole. Preparing and executing marketing strategies and plans for various accounts. Providing weekly/monthly updates on marketing accounts progress, milestones, and outcomes. Effectively and efficiently managing external resources tied to various account and project work. Maintaining schedules, calendars, invoice and expense reporting, and additional administrative support for accounts and projects.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in Marketing is required, higher education work experience in combination with the above is a plus; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job.Physical RequirementsAbility to read, write, hear, speak, see and communicate effectively. Ability to operate basic office equipment to include, photocopier, fax machine, computer equipment, display monitors and the like. Position is largely sedentary. Occasional lifting of office supplies, booklets, etc. is necessary.Personal CharacteristicsThe Marketing Department frequently interacts with donors, faculty and staff. A clean, neat appearance and a pleasant relationship that is supportive of the College mission are essential. This relationship needs to be pleasant, supportive, and professional, while maintaining confidentiality.
