This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Albany, New York area.How you will make an impact- Backfill for Controller where appropriate- Manage the accounting team during the closing process to make sure deadlines are met- Additional responsibilities if necessary- Promote to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting- Sort out and construct Ad Hoc financial reports- Promote accountability and the meeting of deliverables- Design relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report- Define and flourish process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency- Approve implementation and verify adherence to accounting policies and procedures- Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting- Put together diversified policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses- Deliver regular account reconciliation to completion- Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
