Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing high tech company in the RTP area looking for a Product Manufacturing Engineer with experience with contract manufacturers.ResponsibilitiesConduct equipment capacity & planning analysis for new productsCoordinate procurement, implementation, validation, & training of new equipment at CMDevelop robust processes for new products at launchTrain CM personnel on new processesDefine special tooling & fixtures required to support productionWork with CM to develop Quality & Control Plans, PFMEAs, Assembly & Test Instructions, Inspection Procedures, and Critical data collection pointsEnsure all relevant Manufacturing capabilities are in place to support New Product LaunchResponsible for Sustaining Engineering support at CM and assure Best Practices and Lessons Learned are implementedInterface with CM to implement production metrics such as Scrap, Yield, Tact Time, etc.Monitor production metrics during NPI and implement process improvements to improve yields and throughputDevelop verification and validation protocols for manufacturing processes and testing changes.Knowledge of Engineering Change Management best practices.Participate in Design Reviews and provide approvals representing ManufacturingEnsure compliance with NPI Stage Gate process with respect to Mfg. implementationEffectively communicate status, issues, and successes of product launch activities with the project team to ensure team alignment and drive performance against scheduleProvide oral/written presentations to report the status of manufacturing or CM issues.Experience with transferring products to international contract manufacturers preferredExperience with Polyurethane foaming and refrigerant charging systems a plusExperience with "Arena" PLM Change Management Software a plusRequirementsBachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline with a preference on Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering5 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in the manufacturing of OEM electro-mechanical or similar consumer products preferredHands-on Product Launch or Engineering experience supporting contract manufactures in a mid to high volume environmentExperience in managing remotely with demonstrated capability to knock down barriers to build a successful global team.Operational experience within ISO9000, ISO14000 environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigh-level proficiency with standard Microsoft Office softwareWorking knowledge of Solidworks or similar CAD program preferredStrong self-motivation and project management experienceStrong track record of effective problem-solving, good engineering judgment and decision-making skillsProven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrentlyMust be able to travel domestic and international as needed.
