Job DescriptionOur client, a worldwide media and entertainment brand is searching for a Senior Technical Program Manager to add to their team. The Program Manager will focus on leading the planning and execution of strategic Software Engineering programs.Responsibilities: Drive activities for strategic technical programs Develop appropriate plans and timelines Ensure transparency of progress and issues/risks. Proactively drive risk mitigation and contingency planning, along with issue resolution Communicate status, updates, and program summaries via presentations, email, and direct communication with key stakeholders and executive leadership Ensure that all involved parties understand and accept their roles and responsibilities Navigate the company to effectively drive progress, even when the scope of responsibilities may be unclear Track and report key program metrics, informing stakeholders as appropriate Proactively drive, track, and report on impact to budgets Collaborate with other program management colleagues to coordinate activities across multiple technology teams Ensure team is held accountable for their deliverables Understands most project domain components, including architecture, tools and deployment practices that development team is employing Independently manage activities and resolve conflict within associated teams, with minimal influence from management Effortlessly sift through ''noise'' and facilitate discussions and activities with a laser focus towards results Exemplify leadership characteristics through collaboration, work ethic, and creative thinking. Strive to inspire others and deliver the best possible outputs Coordinate with external vendors, where applicable Develop delivery plans of complex projects and programs. Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders Maintain a clear overview of project timelines (Agile/Kanban boards, Gantt charts, Smartsheets, etc.) and progress using project and task management tools (primarily in Jira and Confluence) Leverage Agile and SDLC methodologies to lead teams on a daily basis to the successful delivery of software development projects in accordance with the delivery framework and established best practices Remove impediments, track blockers and report slippages with workable mitigation plans. Manage daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and sprint demosRequired Skills: Experience with and/or current working knowledge of digital media distribution, content supply chain ecosystem, practices, and procedures Experience with Scaled Agile project management methodologies for a software development team Demonstrated ability to define at scale, a structure for efficient delivery of complex projects Demonstrated ability in clearly articulating plans, concepts and activities to a broad/diverse audience Collaborative work style with excellent interpersonal and communications skills Experience applying project management knowledge to assess complex situations, recommend options and drive team members and stakeholders towards common solutions Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives forward to completion through collaboration and consensus across functional areas Solid orchestration and problem-solving skills with ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve project goals Must be capable of managing, tracking, and troubleshooting multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners Self-starter that can autonomously drive multiple work streams across multiple departments or segments of the company Proficient in use of project management and documentation tools Able to analyze scheduling, budgetary, and resourcing data to develop contingency and risk mitigation plans Five+ years of experience managing large-scale, strategic programs in a well-established global technology organization, preferably with a technology infrastructure footprint
