Job Title: Air Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) Network Administrator Work Location: 608th Air Operations Center, Barksdale AFB, LA Clearance: Current active TS+ Education: Bachelor''s degree or 3+ years of experience working with operational-level internal network devices, bulk encryption devices, and C2 systems. Experience: 3+ Certification: Configuration Management II course or ANSI EIA 649 certification Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift Travel: Occasional Salary: Commensurate with experience LCAT: Network Admin Job Listing Number: 22-013/LA22004 Overview: S4 Inc. employees selected for this position will be supporting the 608th Air Operations Center (AOC) at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. You will be providing Network Administration to support AOC operators, technicians, and subject matter experts to enhance AOC global strike and global Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) operations. Specific Duties: In this position you will be responsible for: * Provide remedial maintenance as required * Support personnel with managing internal network devices * Coordinate problem resolution with network services providers as required * Troubleshoot and remediate network failures for IP based networks * Operate National Security Agency (NSA) approved networks encryption devices such as KG-175s and 250s * Support personnel wit IP Configuration Options for radio over Internet Protocol based communications, Ethernet, or networking capabilities * Support personnel with configuring and operating Harris Wireless Message Terminal (WMT) software on laptops and desktops * Support personnel with Microsoft Exchange Server administration * Support personnel with VMWare and virtualized private networking systems * Support personnel with datalink systems such as Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Ultra 16, and Link 16 * Support personnel with administering multiple video teleconferencing configurations * Support personnel with video switch configurations for video distribution systems * Evaluate hardware and software deficiencies within systems supporting military missions and architectures * Track and execute warranties * Assist with government accountability inventories and prepare equipment for transfer to Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) * Perform installation and relocation; create, repair, and remove cabling for supported systems * Network documentation and Configuration Management * Provide training on C4I system hardware maintenance and interconnectivity for active duty and civilian personnel Skills: Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with clients and vendors, demonstrated technical leadership skills, good verbal and written communication skills. Have a solid understanding of the design of complex databases (e.g., schema and subschema details) so limitations/deficiencies can be identified. Qualifications: * Current Top Secret+ security clearance * Have previously been certified as mission ready in an AOC or individually possess at least two years of experience working with an AOC WS and familiar with Department of the Air Force Manual 13-1, Vol 3 * Demonstrated proficiency with CISCO Layer 3 network devices, Firewalls, VTC equipment, VMWare, and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) * Cisco Certified Network Associate and IAT level II certification or have the ability to obtain within 45 days of hire * Completion of a CM course or American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) 649 certification desired * Five years of experience participating in AOC exercises or operations as a C4I Systems Manager or Deputy Systems Manager desired * Five years of experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNET and JWICS desired * Completion of a formal AOC field training unit course desired * Air Staff, MAJCOM, Numbered Air Force, or COCOM staff experience desired To apply to this position please go to and click on Careers to complete and an employment application and to upload your resume.
