Director of Business Development - Federal Civilian Accounts ValidaTek is seeking a Director of Business Development to join our Federal Civilian (FEDCIV) Business Development team. The Director of Business Development will be an individual contributor working across the business development life cycle from opportunity qualification through capture, proposal, and project inception. With smart company growth as a main objective, this role focuses on driving new business revenue, growing backlog (bookings), and supporting ValidaTek marketing and growth objectives. The Business Development Executive will lead complex technical bids, including developing an in-depth understanding of the potential client''s requirements, buying history, ValidaTek''s competitive advantages, the formation of solutions, and assembling a team of experts to deliver meaningful solutions. This position will be focused on bringing to the FEDCIV market ValidaTek''s core solutions and capabilities including cybersecurity, application development, systems engineering, mission and enterprise IT, infrastructure modernizations, and advanced cloud solutions. Responsibilities of your new role: * Establish capture strategies and partnerships while identifying and shaping new business opportunities, both within and outside current FEDCIV client organizations, to align with ValidaTek''s capabilities, experience and new technology initiatives* Perform market and economic analyses to build a healthy, diverse, and sustainable business development pipeline of opportunities within the Federal Civilian Market* Develop a FEDCIV customer network to gain information on client needs, initiatives, and preferences to shape business development opportunities and focus on additional growth strategies* Review and evaluate RFP requirements to support Bid/No Bid decisions* Identify resources required to pursue a bid, guiding bid and proposal activities* Develop and execute detailed capture plans following our gate review process* Conduct competitive analysis and support the development of competitive solutions for existing and new client markets* Ensure effective development of solutions that offer competitive advantage and feasible execution approachesQualifications of your new role: * Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited university* Master''s Degree - desired* Account or large program management experience in the U.S. FEDCIV market including an extensive industry partner network and client relationships, knowledge of FEDCIV agency components and missions, and understanding of government spending trends and priorities* Minimum 10 years of hands-on, full life cycle BD/Capture leadership experience with a proven track record of winning IT services and/or solutions-related awards valued at $25M+ in the U.S. FEDCIV market* Proven success in the execution of all phases of capture effort, including deal strategy development, solution development, teaming strategy and development, proposals implementation and solution marketing* Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including targeting, opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits, customer relationship development, and relationship development with partner organizations.* Ability to maintain effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners* Detailed understanding of pricing, baseline pricing strategies, and the evolution of pricing strategies into business strategies that are competitive and compelling for the customer* A leader with strong coaching, negotiating, and influencing skills demonstrated in a fast-paced environment* Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting vehicles including GWAC''s and agency specific vehicles.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills* Current PMP certification/ITIL certification - desired Applicants who are selected for employment will be required to verify authorization to work in the United States.
