We all share a responsibility to advance the companys mission by excelling at our three corporate priorities safety of our people and the public, operational excellence in all that we do, and ensuring the best possible customer experience.Core ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Company programs and provide oversight and operational support for all regulatory and associated technical efforts to effectively and efficiently manage applicable programs and projects related to compliance with the Company''s Title V air permits.Maintain current knowledge of federal, New York State, and New York City regulations pertaining to air permitting, reporting, and compliance, including latest climate science and GHG inventory best management practices.Manage opacity reduction program including; Monthly Opacity Audits Quarterly Six-minute Opacity Reports and Monitor Downtime Reports, Quarterly Opacity Reduction Progress Reports.Manage/coordinate RATA testing and emissions stack testing requirements.Designated ARCHER system manager responsible for package creation and tracking to completion.59th Street Station Air Lead and Steam Operations liaison perform air specific duties for 59th Street by representing them at the biweekly NSR meeting and otherwise being a resource. In addition, provide Air support to the other Steam Operation Stations.Must be familiar with Federal (40 CFR Parts 70 & 71), NYSDEC (6 NYCRR Part 201) and NYCDEP Air Pollution Code requirements related to air permitting and compliance.Serve as issue manager for selected emerging air issues including representing the Company at meetings and seminars associated with industry and environmental organizations.Serve as the Company''s liaison with governmental agencies and manage official communications to applicable agencies, including critical correspondence related to air permitting and reporting regulations.Performing regulatory analysis related to air quality, GHG and other environmental matters as driven by the Clean Air Act as well as state and local regulations and evolving GHG regulations (e.g., Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act), permitting (e.g., NEPA) and reporting programs.Providing strategic input on various internal and external initiatives around GHG and Air emissions; Must possess basic level of knowledge of GHG and air-related ESG issues with respect to reductions and dealing with stakeholder-related issues.Assist operating departments in developing cost effective and efficient compliance strategies for applicable activities.Provide technical and administrative support to organizations undertaking projects; submitting all applicable required filings and securing all applicable variances and correspondence.Oversee, coordinate, lead, and monitor the performance of special studies in support of air emissions goals and objectives.Support operating areas with internal EHS audits, as required.Respond to applicable emergencies, providing direction to operating groups during such incidents and, as necessary, participate in EHS Emergency Resource Mobilization.Manage development, maintenance, and interpretation of applicable procedures and instructions, and support associated training.Consult with the Law Department to obtain legal clarifications as needed and to analyze the impacts of regulatory changes on company operations.Must be available to perform occasional off-hour functions, some of which may require working extended or non-traditional hours.Perform other related assignments as required by Senior Management.Required Education/ExperienceBachelor''s Degree Engineering, Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics or Biological Science And 3 years in an EH&S position OrBachelor''s Degree in non-related field (Business or Social Sciences) And 5 years in an EH&S positionRequired Work ExperienceDemonstrated multiple and concurrent project management abilities. RequiredDemonstrated ability to lead collaborative team efforts without direct reporting relationships. RequiredStrong oral and written communication skills. RequiredStrong presentation and interpersonal skills, being effective working with all levels of the company from union employees to executives. RequiredDemonstrated familiarity with computer systems and desktop computer administration and database management, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. RequiredKnowledge of utility industry operations and position related Federal and New York State laws and regulations. PreferredFamiliarity with position related New York City and municipal codes a plus. PreferredFamiliarity with Scope 1-3 GHG inventory best practices a plus.
