Tennessee Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity Clarksville/Dickson: TN Full-Time | Mon-Fri Palliative Care Opportunity About the Practice and their Mission Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant practicing in Palliative/Hospice care to join our extensive, well-established multi-specialty physician group practice at their Clarksville and Dickson, TN locations. OneOncology''s non-exclusive clinical trial site management subsidiary, OneR, delivers complex, multi-center clinical trials to affiliated practices.About the Role The successful candidate will provide palliative medical services by managing the symptoms related to acute and chronic conditions, assisting with communication and coordination of care, as well as developing treatment plans and goals of care. This includes collaboration with the physicians, medical team, care coordinators, and patient advocates. The APP role includes the assessment, diagnosis, and management of cancer or related disorders. The APP uses evidence-based literature and works toward evidence-based practice to effect a positive change in the health and healthcare delivered to the patient with a past, current, or potential diagnosis of cancer.Education, Experience, and Knowledge Current Knowledge of Oncology and Primary Care. Ability to Work Independently. A license to practice as an RN or PA in the state of Tennessee is required. A Master''s degree in nursing or certification as a Physician Assistant is required. National certification as APP (American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) or Clinical Nurse Specialist who meets the criteria for a certificate of fitness to prescribe medications, including AOCN, AOCNP, AOCNS, or Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required Board Certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) preferred. Minimum of One-Year Oncology Nurse Experience Minimum of one year as CRNP Practicing Palliative Care Recruitment Package Highly Competitive Base Salary. CME Reimbursement.
