Position requires a state of the market understanding of technology tools available and online research skills to solve business problems. Position works with IS staff and end users to support the credit unions business applications and monitors secure use of all network software and applications.PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain installation and configuration stall, configure, implement and maintenance of assigned software applications.Implementation and maintenance of workstations, terminals, and peripheral devices.Responsible for virus/malware and security alerts monitoring.Responsible for responding to phishing/smishing/vishing concerns.Responsible for communicating to end users proper security procedures.Work with Security Officer in Organizing, Scheduling, Gathering Documents and Researching for Audits.Working with the Training department to maintain and update the security awareness training program.Manage and review security and system audit logs, identifying security or performance issues to be resolved. Analyze and report on the company''s vulnerability level for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs).Troubleshoot hardware & software issues to acceptable resolution.Assist with setting up new users, monitoring network rights, deleting users as needed from network and applications.Assist with budgeting, and purchase of applicable software, hardware, peripherals and licenses.Monitor Web and Email traffic reports for potentially harmful activities.Assist with VMware, Microsoft Server, and Wyse plete special projects.Promote products and servicesResponsible for recording and distribution of AllStaff meetings. Attend all other meetings as required.Maintain clean and professional work area and appearance.Maintain positive public relations and promote credit union within the plete educational programs as required.Perform the following commitments of service to each and every member at all times:Make a good first impression, be dressed professionally and greet people with a smile and a firm handshake.Keep a smile in my voice as well as on my face.Answer the telephone by the third ring.Call people by name and thank them.Give people my full and undivided attention; focus on the person face to face and on the telephone.Take responsibility for solving the individual''s problem instead of referring it to someone else.Deliver on commitments of action(s) to be taken, so excuses will not be necessary.Follow through on necessary action(s) to be sure the problem is solved.Know that what is important is not only who or what created the problem but how the problem can be corrected.Protect confidential information.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITON:Assist with monitoring of security processes and events.Systems implementation experience.At least 5 years combined experience in an HP/Microsoft/Cisco IS environment.Understanding of a Microsoft Server/VmWare environment, utilizing a combination of PCs, zero-client terminals, and peripheral devices.Ability to test, install and configure vendor software applications and blend them into a secure environment as not to compromise other installed programs or security.Effective oral and written communications skills.Willingness to work varied hours, and holidays when necessary. Ability to perform under pressure. Demonstrated project management skills.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements to systems specifications.Team player.Willingness to continue education so principal duties/responsibilities indicated above can be completed.EDUCATION:Computer Science/MIS degree or equivalent experience.Microsoft certification on current Windows client and server operating system pTIA Security+ certifications or ability to attain in 18 months.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:The following physical activities will be required on a day-to-day basis: climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, walking, pulling, fingering, feeling, hearing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking, repetitive motions.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
