Senior RPG Developer

One of America''s leading supplier of materials for residential, industrial, and commercial construction Headquartered in Dayton, OH is looking for an on-site Senior RPG Developer. This candidates is going to review, analyze, design, and modify software and application systems, working through all aspects of the development life cycle, including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, debugging, deploying, support, and writing/updating documentation for technical solutions. They will ensure programs can be integrated into new and existing application systems. Assist in developing and implementing new application systems in a Scrum development team. Resolve complex problems with existing applications systems. The candidate should be familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals within the established standards and architecture patterns. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. The candidate may mentor, lead, and/or direct the work of others. Minimum RequirementsAssociate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technology field- 3-7 years Java programming experience - Equivalent of 5 years related professional experience and industry certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree IBMi (iSeries, AS/400) V7R1+ Batch and Interactive RPG programs using modular programming- RPG IV (RPG/ILE, Free-Format)- Control Language (CL)- Service Programs Desired SkillsIBM Rational Developer for i (RDi 9.5 - Eclipse based IDE for writing IBMi apps) Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan WMi, LogPRO) a plus Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry a plus
