Position OverviewThe Assistant Branch Manager (ASM) at Lakeland Bank will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the branch. The ASM is responsible for the operations of the branch, leading and developing the branch team, achieving personal and branch goals by helping customers realize their financial goals, assisting the Branch Manager and ensuring the branch delivers outstanding service to every customer, every day.As the ASM you may also be required to verify and approve bi-weekly electronic time-sheets, assist on the teller line and fulfill teller manager responsibilities i.e. schedule/supervise the teller line, order money, reconcile branch cash, the ATM, cash re-cycler/dispenser and coin machine.Key Responsibilities:* Effectively managing the branch* Drive the operations and administrative functions of the branch i.e. adherence to policy and procedure, branch reporting and proofs, ownership of audits* Interviews candidates, selecting top talent to hire and train* Supervise and provide leadership to the branch team* Display professionalism, reliability and dependability* Acts as a role model through excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and customer service skills* Successfully cross-sell bank products* Take initiative and practice dedication to quality* Possess a willingness and desire to learn* Willing to work in branch locations on a temporary or permanent basis, as requiredSkills Required* 2 years experience as an Assistant Branch Manager or 3 years experience as a bank Customer Service Representative.* 2 years proven supervisory experience.* 2 years verifiable experience as a teller or teller manager.* Ability to effectively manage the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.* Possess strong customer service and sales skills* Ability to cross sell products and services.* Professional, responsible, reliable/dependable in his/her work product and attendance.* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal* Ability to effectively interact with customers, staff and personnel at all levels within the Bank.* Ability to motivate and coach staff to achieve branch sales objectives.* Proficient with MS Outlook and Word and comfortable using the computer for running necessary reports, timekeeping responsibilities, on-line training requirements, assisting customers and branch staff.* Willingness to work in branch locations within a reasonable distance from assigned location on a temporary basis, as required.* Must be eligible to register with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry).* Must be bondable.Employment EligibilityAll Lakeland Bank employees must be bondable.
