UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to join our Operating Rooms team, Front Desk Coordinator. This individual will coordinate and participate in the orientation of new RN team members to the designated team, establish and facilitate processes which enable team members to acquire new skills, knowledge and clinical competencies and serve as a role model of perioperative nursing excellence. Also will assist the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services in maintaining high customer service standards for the surgical team. SCHEDULE 90% evening shift; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 0900-2130. RESPONSIBILITIES In addition, participation and support to include: Nursing Care in the Operating Room Involvement in education programs including orientation training, in-service training for their team. Performance evaluations for RN''s2 on team Assignment of RN2 cases during the day Support in decisions relating to standards of care Participates in quality and process improvement committees Gather capital requests from Faculty and Medical Staff Participate in hospital committees REQUIREMENTS Requires BSN and two years of Operating Room nursing experience OR equivalent education/experience. Must obtain CNOR within six months of hire. BLS/ACLS required. DESIRED MSN or equivalent preferred. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS Washington State RN license required by start date.
