We are searching for a passionate and experienced hands-on UX Lead who can utilize their design and systems thinking to ensure that Axtria continues to lead through product innovation.You will be the first leader of our Design function. In this role you will lead all critical design projects, craft a design culture, and partner closely with the product teams to refine our vision for the product. How do you make the complex feel simple? How do you win and keep users'' trust? As you immerse yourself in the user journey, you''ll help us drive the research and collaboration required to answer these questions (and many more) as a part of all new feature development.As a UX Lead, you will design simple, fluid, and pragmatic experiences for Axtrias portfolio of products. This is a leadership role managing a small team of UX Designers and working with product managers globally.This role reports to the Head of Product Management. Location is Berkeley Heights, NJ. Travel expectation less than 10% as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems & goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new productsBe actively involved in defining strategy, advocating for user needs, and thinking through design systems, not just screensDesign and test multiple ideas swiftly (sometimes with customers) to validate product directionAs we scale, hire and develop a team of exceptional product designersSet the standard for Design @ Axtria, from culture, to process, to qualityWork iteratively to design, refine, and validate solutions. Using your design skills, you create wireframes, storyboards, walkthroughs and prototypes that communicate your design ideas.Design graphic user interface elements.Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.Graciously provide and incorporate meaningful feedback to improve your and the teams design solutions and perspectives.Create to style standards on fonts, colors and images.Participate as a member of a UX project team; collaborating with UX peers and cross-functional teammates from product, insights & analytics, engineering, customer service, marketing, and QA.Produce documentation to ensure your designs are well understood by stakeholders and detailed enough for efficient development.Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies working with team members in the US as well as in India.Required Experience/SkillsBachelors Degree required.Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role with solid UX thinking and visual design skills with an understanding of Pharma and Lifesciences domainsKnowledge of advanced data structures, ability to recognize and code dynamic programming solutions and design and build heuristic and AI based modelsUnderstand the complete product development process with the ability to come up innovative models for delivering products.Be well versed in up-to date relevant platforms such as languages, frameworks, cloud services, toolkits and methodologiesLead research and development projects to produce new products, processes, or designsAbility to define QA architecture, strategies for automation and have experience with devops in order to guide team for all Non functional requirements of the product in collaboration with Product Management and engagement teamsUnderstanding of Code base, repositories, packages and technology Architecture.Has at least 7-12 years of experience on a product or user experience team (or equivalent experience), with at least 3 years leading a UX team.Experience in a B2B SaaS or software company.Experience developing wireframes and prototypes.Need to be proficient in design software (Invision, Sketch, Adobe CC, Keynote and other relevant software).A track record of designing and delivering digital products; illustrated with a portfolio.Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.Experience with several design approaches, methods, and tools that you can use to plan and estimate your project work.A change agent who frames problems, identifies solutions, and establishes structures and processes to plan and manage changeReviews and relays business plans, strategic priorities and vision objectives in order to lead a successful teamResponsible for developing and building capabilities across the team, including recognizing, engaging and retaining high performersLeads by example, demonstrates Axtrias values, encourages knowledge sharing, open communication and up-skilling in order to drive collaboration and efficiencyThe Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a fast-paced environment.Degree or formal training in design, HCI, or an equivalent.Experience working in an Agile environment, using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.Experience with systems thinking and design (e.g., workflow/asset management systems, business intelligence systems).Demonstrated business acumen, including experience measuring and calibrating the impact of your work against key business and customer experience goals.The exact nature of duties, level of role as well as the salary and compensation package will be commensurate with experience and salary history.Axtria is an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
