Security Service Technician II

Job Details What you will do:A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. You will advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections. You will repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access Systems, and other security equipment. This Technician will be set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently. How you will do it:Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiringReadjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operationPrepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairsCoordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies Responsible for the service and repair of commercial Security/Fire Alarm/CCTV/Card Access systemsWhat we look for: RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience with Fire Alarm, security, CCTV, card accessKnowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devicesExperience inspecting, repairing, and programming fire alarm panels and fire suppression systems Computer literateAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirementsOvernight travel may be requiredDemonstrate a high level of customer serviceMaintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needsAbility to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all timesStrong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quicklyPossess a valid driver''s license and driving record that meets company requirementsAble to pass a pre-employment background and drug testRetain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes Preferred5 years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems preferredNICET II certification a plus.Johnson Controls International plc. is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a qualified individual with a disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
