The UCS team provides infrastructure and network security services for the RDT&E enterprise in support of SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic employees and projects at all locations. The purpose of the Network Services IPT is to provide a robust and secure networking and communications environment allowing high availability and stability in support of test and developmental efforts and events. The network is comprised of over 350 network devices; over 6000 user devices; and sites supported include Charleston, Tampa, Fayetteville, New Orleans, Stuttgart Germany, Naples Italy, Hampton Roads, Pax River, and NCR. SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic requires resources to support the Network Services IPT with Network Engineering and Operations support for the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), as it relates to engineering, implementation and day to day operations of the network infrastructure.UCS is looking for a Windows System Administrator supporting Core Services of Windows and Active Directory. This position requires experience working in a MS Windows Server environment and managing Windows Domains using Active Directory. This role requires a thorough understanding of Domain/Forest trusts, Replication, NTFS/ACL permissions, Group Policies, as well as excellent working knowledge in PKI / Certificate enrollment and architecture design and support. This role also requires an Understanding of Computer and User authentication needed for troubleshooting performance issues associated with logon or Host resolution for both Server and Workstation. The candidate should have experience in the following:Strong understanding of Windows 10, Server 2012 and Server 2016 platforms Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Services (including, but not limited to WSUS, IIS, FTP, DNS, DFS, SCCM, and SCOM). Working knowledge of DNS configuration, MS Clustering services, SAN storage configuration, Terminal services, TCP/IP protocol, LDAP. Knowledge and experience applying Group Policy Objects in a Domain Environment. Extensive working knowledge around PKI, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, and O365 suite. MS Windows Server Security Configuration and Administration. PowerShell, VB Scripting, VM Ware Virtualization platform, Novell Netware knowledge is a plus.
