LiDAR Application Engineer

To drive our growth and further development, we are looking for you to join our team. ensure the delivery of development needs assigned to him/her ensure overall security consistency and quality of his/her deliveries in line with Valeo Standards contribute to the definition & execution of validation plans make proposals to improve the team efficiency and quality of the deliverables He/she directly reports to the Application team manager who supervises the Application teammates. Install and configure LiDAR sensors in test vehicles and other testing environments Strategically design and execute tests to characterise LiDAR performance Develop new methods to analyse LiDAR point cloud data by writing Python code Optimise the LiDAR system for different use cases Develop solutions for individual customers Able to debug LiDAR sensors, install firmware and software updates Collaborate with R&D team to develop and improve products based on customer feedback Support the commercial team by providing technical content and guidance Strong ability in designing and evaluating experiments to characterise product performance M.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or simila 2 years of industry experience working with both HW and SW areas of precision optical instruments, complex sensor systems, or electro-mechanical systems Familiar with LiDAR technology and point clouds, ability to evaluate performance and identify issues Familiar with ROS/Ubuntu environments Valid Drivers License required
