Providers with South Texas Health System (STHS) Clinics deliver high quality family medicine, health screenings and advanced specialized care to the people of the Rio Grande Valley. Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.Position Summary:Responsible for managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities and requests having to do with patient billing/collections and satisfaction.Manages the billing, claims and collection support for the physician practice. Reviews all documentation to ensure appropriate billing practices are being adhered to; add appropriate modifiers and codes in accordance with payer requirements. Ensure all claims are scrubbed and clean prior to release.Ensure appropriate authorizations and referrals ae in place to support claims.Notify CBO of error/erroneous billings; ensure timely filing is met based on payer requirements.Work collaboratively with management and providers to resolve billing issues.
