Heavy Highway Mechanic

Highway/Heavy Mechanic C. S. McCrossan is a diversified highway/heavy civil contractor committed to our core values of Safety, Professionalism, Teamwork and Continuous Improvement. The Companys work includes the I-94 reconstruction between Maple Grove and Rogers, extending Hwy 610 west of Hwy 169 and participating as a joint venture partner in projects including the I-494/Hwy 169 Interchange and the Green Line Southwest Light Rail Project. We are looking for a Heavy Highway Mechanics to perform all required repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy highway trucks and construction equipment including both diesel and gas engines. Heavy Highway Mechanics may be assigned to the shop or the field. Qualifications High school graduate or GED Graduate of a diesel mechanic vocational program 3 years of heavy highway equipment repair and maintenance experience Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills MSHA training preferred Experience welding, cutting, and fabricating metal for equipment repairs Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary Experience working on CAT equipment preferred Experience with crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment Knowledge of and compliance with all Company safety requirements, policies and safety training.
