Physician Assistant PRN

The practice currently has multiple surgeons and mid level providers, and they are looking to hire an additional provider to work in tandem with them. The ideal candidate will be a hard working individual looking to make an impact on the lives of cancer patients and their families. New hire would be involved in all aspects of patient care in both the inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (clinic) setting including assisting in the operating room.Extensive education and training will be provided by the supervising physicians and current midlevels in order for the individual to develop the extensive knowledge and complex skills to evaluate and treat these head and neck cancer patients. Time in the operating room will be extensive, and new hire will quickly develop basic and complex surgical skills.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • Holds a current license and is in good standing • Surgical experience preferred with ability to perform tasks in colorectal surgery efficiently and effectively • Maintains certification in accordance with Department of Regulations • Able to obtain and sustain clinical hospital privileges • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimum supervision • Good diagnostic capabilities • Ability to travel within the surrounding communitiesEDUCATON AND/OR EXPERIENCE:• Graduate of an approved program or its equivalent• Meets the standards set by the Board of MedicineSUPERVISION AND COMMUNICATION:• Must properly control the release of proprietary and confidential informationLANGUAGE SKILLS:• Must be able to read and interpret documents• Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence• Must be able to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations with patients, physicians, and other employees of the organizationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
