This position is located in WalthamThe Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has immediate openings for Recruitment Coordinators. The selected candidate will work under the direction of the Regional Director or designee and collaborate with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EHS) Human Resources and DDS Regional Management Team to determine hiring needs, placement of candidates, and plan strategic recruitment activities.The Recruitment Coordinator will serve as the point person working EHS Human Resources for all hiring activities through MassCareers which includes: creating postings, advertising, phone screening applicants, and coordinating interviews of applicants.The incumbent will follow up with the candidate and/or hiring managers regarding the hiring process. The position will present information and updates to the Regional Management Team and be involved in strategic planning activities as it relates to recruitment and retention.Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):* Provides support with the hiring process, including coordinating job postings and partnering with the Talent & Acquisition and Employment & Staffing units, including assisting with the development and implementation of HR programs and processes for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.* Performs outreach activities with local schools/universities/temp staffing agencies; external job announcements, attend job fairs (virtual and in-person) and recruitment presentations.* Coordinates DDS orientation to provide new hires with the knowledge and resources needed for successful employment.* Coordinates, develops, monitors, and uses tracking systems to promote effective operations and document compliance with established rules, regulations, and standards.* Reviews and analyze data to determine the progress and effectiveness of internal operations.* Makes recommendations for changes in tracking systems and databases to enhance the agency''s effective use of human resources and technology.* Recommends changes, coordinate, and the support implementation of procedures, systems, and guidelines to accomplish Agency program objectives and goals.* Prepares, submits, and tracks new hire IT hardware, network, and software requests.* Provides technical assistance and advice concerning exchanging information, resolving issues and ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.* Conducts phone screens with candidates and schedules interviews when appropriate.Required Qualifications* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to exercise sound judgment, attention to detail, and adaptability while maintaining a hands-on and proactive approach.* Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)- Taleo and proficient usage of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related programs.* Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely, express thoughts clearly and develop ideas in a logical sequence, ability to assemble items of information in accordance with established procedures* Proven organizational and prioritizing skills; Knowledge of the methods of general report writing* Capacity to maintain a high level of confidentially.* Strong knowledge of the state classification system as well as familiarity in working in a bargaining unit environment* In depth knowledge and adherence to the techniques used in evaluating corrective measures and reporting compliance to policies and regulations* Knowledge of supports needed for Individuals with intellectual disabilities.Preferred Qualifications* Two (2) years of experience in business administration, business management or public administration.* Familiarity with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards, and guidelines governing assigned unit activities.* Demonstrated knowledge of organizational structure and functions of the assigned agency.* Broad Knowledge of the proper procedures for established agency network and telephone systems; Knowledge of the types and uses of agency forms.* Understanding of the laws, rules and regulations governing the state personnel system.* Knowledge of DDS regulations, principles, and mission.
