You will also receive hands-on mentorship from your friendly teammates on topics ranging from design to career advice.Your Responsibilities* Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and bringing the best to the team* Be a Tech Lead on Shipt''s member app team and champion a high degree of code quality and performance* Deliver rich and engaging user experiences in a timely manner* Partner with backend engineers to design systems with user experience forethought* Collaborate with Product Managers, Experience Designers and Backend Engineers to design and deliver high-quality features and lead execution of product roadmaps* Collaborate with Back End teams to create elegant connections between Front End assets and Back End services in order to efficiently power features* Build efficient and reusable react native components and architect reliable, performant, and scalable react native solutions* Set the tone for engineering best practices and culture within the team, leading by example* Follow data-driven approaches to conduct experiments and iterate features* Identify areas of improvement and drive react native best practices* Familiarity with Accessibility best practices for mobile devices* Mentor and grow other developersRequirements* 6+ years experience with React Native or React* Deep understanding of the react component lifecycle and performance best practices.* Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals; unit, integration, e2e, etc.* Able to transform hi-fidelity designs into accurate, working features* Value the support of a QA team validating your code''s functionality* Collaborating with Design, Product Management and Data Science to deliver new functionality* Able to communicate complex ideas and concepts concisely* Provide mentorship to other team members* Lead technical efforts to improve app maintainability, stability, and performanceNice to Haves* Experience with Detox testing suite* React Query, Redux, and other React state management concepts* Interest in Leadership opportunities* Open source software and dependency management* Development of an E-commerce application* Experience with App distribution; App Store, Play Store, Beta channels, CodePush, etcWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
