TO APPLY EMAIL RESUME AND COVER LETTER TO: [Click Here to Email Your Resumé] with subject line SEC COORDINATORSEC CoordinatorThe SEC (Sexual Exploitation of Children) Coordinator provides advocacy, support and case management for high risk youth and child victims of commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking, serving as the primary contact at the District Attorney''s Office and the Essex Children''s Advocacy Center Program for referrals of children and youth who are suspected or at risk for SEC and Child Trafficking. As the primary contact for providing case related information to the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), the SEC Coordinator serves as a liason between the family and DCF, reviews cases for potential SEC, and facilitates the MDT response; including coordinating MDT meeting schedules, attending MDT Forensic Interviews and team meetings, assisting families with safety planning, and providing referrals to families for outside services or support. The SEC Coordinator provides support and advocacy for child victims and their non-offending caregivers and conducts community outreach by providing training to community organizations.The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* Monitor and respond to all SEC DA referrals (and fielding calls/emails re: how to respond to SEC from MDT partners).* Create and update files on each youth with all reports, notes, emails, overall trends, etc. (both electronic and paper).* SEC statistics for Massachusetts Children''s Alliance (monthly input of all new and ongoing clients).* Providing SEC relevant resources to courts, advocates, DCF, etc.* Facilitating MOA and PD response for missing kids.* Schedule and hold SEC Case Conferences.* Set up and attend TEAMS/Mini TEAMS.* Create SEC training deck.* Review and update SEC protocols.* Distribute SEC brochures to police departments and courts.* Regularly attend online trainings and seek out new SEC resources.Also, the SEC Coordinator performs whatever other duties at whatever job-site as may from time to time be assigned to her/him by the District Attorney, or the FCU Chief, or other designee of the District addition to these above responsibilities the SEC Coordinator is required:* To be familiar with and to follow the provisions of the Essex District Attorney''s Office Personnel Policies, and the Sexual Harassment Protocol,* To participate in trainings relevant to Office functions,* To communicate with or provide timely notification to Office staff, police, and other interested parties, as permitted and/or required by law;* To interact in a respectful and professional manner with the public, judicial and law enforcement personnel and Office staff,* To complete work assignments in a timely manner.The essential functions of the position require the effective ability to receive and distribute information in written, oral, and electronic form, in the English language.Education and Experience:Required:* Bachelor''s degree or above.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.* Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong interpersonal skills* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.Preferred:* Working knowledge of the criminal justice and/or social service systems* Experience working in a professional office setting.* Conversational abilities in other languages.
