SummaryKing County Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking a customer service orientated, enthusiastic, self starter with expertise in M365 Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and the Power Platform. This position will be a resource on the Modern Workplace team. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of M365 including the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve level 2 issues. The candidate will be responsible for implementing designs created by other systems engineers and architects, creating processes, standards and best practices for the team, and implementing new systems and enhancements. This position will be responsible for ensuring enterprise-level services are available for customers and meet the business needs, including engineering, automation, product lifecycle and development of all in scope related voice, messaging and video services. Responsibilities include Level 2 support, engineering, implementing and administering of these systems. As a Journey Systems Engineer for the County, the candidate will have ownership over technical and operational aspects of Enterprise hardware and software products that support critical business functions. This position will be responsible for the creation of standard operating procedures, processes, documentation, maintaining services, writing scripts to automate processes, participate in planning and implementation of project tasks, plus investigation and resolution to tactical technical issues. The candidate will work with the various support personnel to improve services and design solutions to meet business requirements. The candidate will drive automation and best practices of these systems to improve consistency and customer experience. This position will support the M365 suite of collaboration applications on the Production Operations Modern Workplace Team. To learn more about KCIT, please visit: Teleworking Requirement The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
