Saw Operator

Job Description The Production Saw Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment, and operation of high-speed, custom-built aluminum saws. Responsible for maintaining precision sawing tolerances on aluminum extrusions, plates, acrylic and bar items. Essential Functions Equipment set-up Extrusion / acrylic cutting Arrange cut extrusions on skids Follow priority of jobs required by production Supports production work cells by pulling and cutting all work orders and materials necessary to complete shop orders Check and replenish fluid for lubrication system Check and remove chips from saws when necessary Recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions Comply with all established company safety procedures and policies Education High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience Minimum 6 months related experience and / or training Skills Must possess basic computer skills Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards Ability to perform basic math functions Ability to use measuring tools such as measuring tape and calipers Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to read blueprints
