OverviewThe Nurse Practitioner is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, evaluating and treating clients on their caseload. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner is also responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide assessment, treatment planning, and evaluation of the clients care within designated clinical areas. The Nurse Practitioner acts as a clinical role model, provide nursing consultation to staff, and psychiatry services.Seneca operates a wide variety of programs, including school-based programs, community-based programs, and crisis services and is looking for qualified nurse practitioners eager to work within multi-disciplinary teams in collaborative, innovative settings which are client and family-focused. Nurse practitioners also enjoy being part of a growing and supportive department of physicians, psychiatrists and nurses. As a Joint Commission accredited behavioral health organization, all consulting psychiatrists must undergo a credentialing process, and so early applications are encouraged even for future openings. Collects and analyzes assessment data to formulate client care problems, individualized outcomes, plans, implements and evaluates nursing interventions. Provides all care required to be given by a RN/NP for assigned programs/shifts. Meets all regulatory and facility documentation standards. Provide trainings to staff members, family members and Nursing team. Collaborate with psychiatrist and staff nurse to ensure clients are medically stable for treatment and coordinate PCP. Collaborates with Psychiatrist/Medical Director/Consulting Nursing Director to ensure quality of prescriptive practices, diagnostic practices, medication administration, adequate consents, medical treatment and follow-up. Collaborates with Clinical Manager to ensure health and safety, infection control, resource utilization, and clinical and rehabilitative standards of care. Participates in Health Services department meetings, on-site staff meetings and other facility activities.Qualifications Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PMNHP BC). Active RN license in California, Current and Valid DEA Certificate. Successful completion of Senecas credentialing process. Proof of liability insurance. TB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirements. Valid (California/Washington) driver''s license and insurability through Seneca''s automobile policy.
