Grand River - Howell, Michigan 48843-8585Job Description:Position Summary:This role is responsible to perform the primary responsibility of efficient and accurate checking of all vendor deliveries and to perform other functions as required in an efficient manner within the company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the best financial interest of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned in a timely manner. Here''s what you''ll do: Ensure that all procedures are following when checking in or out vendors. Receive all merchandise, check and verify invoices, process all credits, document on the log according to company procedures. Communicate promptly to the store director any problems or situations which may affect the integrity of the store or of the vendor. Take stock to applicable storage and/or workload areas. Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines. Knowledgeable of product locations in the store, in order to be able to assist customers. Maintain receiving records and logs for internal audits. Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Here''s what you''ll need: High school graduate or equivalent (GED) Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents Basic mathematical skills Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products Detail Oriented Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions.
