The positions scope includes airside projects at a major West Coast airport. The major elements of this project including but not limited to: a new aircraft apron, Remain Overnight (RON) parking aprons, new taxiway, realignment and improvements to the existing taxiway, pavement and utility demolition, grading and earthwork, pavement base courses, concrete and asphalt paving, pavement marking, perimeter fencing and wall, jet blast fencing, storm drainage infrastructure, airfield lighting and signage, high mast lighting, and new utility infrastructure.Duties include, but are not limited to:Provide direction and management for projects as assigned and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligationsDesign participation on design evolution and review of plans, stakeholder coordination, phasing and schedule development for assigned projects.Develop and manage scope to meet project goals and objectivesAct as owner representative with contractor and stakeholders during the program executionNegotiate changes to the scope of work with the contractorsMay participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies in support of owner.Monitors deliverables for adherence to program requirements.Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned projectField responsibilities may include labor relations, procurement and payment to contractors and consultantsWork with other team members to follow budget, schedules, and plan for the all elements of a projectEnsure that the project meets or exceeds goals established in this planWork with department management to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of workMaintain current and timely change ordersPromote excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processesPromote a Safety First approach in all matters and zero approach to accidents on projects.Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or scheduleEstablish regular meetings to review project status and formulate action itemsPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateMinimum RequirementsMinimum RequirementsBachelors Degree in Engineering, construction management or equivalent experienceEight (8) years of similar work experience is requiredPrevious project management experience on similar or related large-scale projects in aviationProven ability to perform in a management capacityExcellent written and oral communications skillsThorough knowledge of industry practices and regulationsKnowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the projectBachelors Degree in Engineering, construction management or equivalent experience plus eight (8) years of similar work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPrevious project management experience on similar or related large-scale projects in aviationPreferred QualificationsExperience with projects more than $10 million is preferredProfessional registration is highly preferredProven ability to perform in a management capacityExcellent written and oral communications skillsThorough knowledge of industry practices and regulationsKnowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the projectAdditional Information:This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.Must be able to successfully pass Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) checkMust be able to pass client background screening to include drug testingWhat We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
