Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valuedAnticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step furtherAttend Embassy Suites Make a Difference culture onboarding and follow Hilton standardsAssist Breakfast cooks in meal preparationMake sure buffet is stocked and assist in running buffet itemsWash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standardsCollect and dispose of trash from all kitchen areas, empty garbage cans, wash, and reline with new bags. Break down boxes, crates, and remove debrisExamine garbage for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware, and other reusable itemsWash and polish all stainless steel in the kitchen including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.Wash and clean receiving, trash, and other kitchen-related areasSweep and mop dish and expo floorsPut away deliveries as soon as they arrive using the first in, first out method. Verify that every item on the invoice is accounted for and stored properly with label and dateStore all dishes and other wares in proper areasClean dish machine and dish area after each meal periodPerform other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, storing foods after delivery, and cleaning coolers, freezers, and storeroomsNotify supervisor if inventories of soap, chemicals, and paper towels are lowFollow all Suburban Inns ProcessesOther duties as requested by managementPosition Requirements: Minimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing. Work is completed on the property Uniform and Appearance Guidelines: Uniform: Uniform and name tag provided. Close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the Team Member. Appearance: All facial piercings must be approved by management. Gauges in ears are not allowed on anyone whos primary job function is interacting with guests. Hair must be of a natural color, and kept well-groomed. All tattoos that are not covered by a work uniform must be approved in writing by management. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times.
