NOW HIRING - 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT MANUFACTURING SUPERVISORSUMMARY OF POSITION:Meet with Value Stream associates regularly to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement. Develop a visually controlled environment to assure no problems are hidden.PAY RANGE: Salary based on experienceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Monitor and follow all safety preventative measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelines, while following and meeting standard work requirementsLead the plant value stream(s) in daily operation and continuous improvements, which include but are not limited to:Assist the Value Stream Manager in creating continuous product flow, utilizing pull systems, and leveling the workloadInstill and maintain employee empowerment and a positive team atmosphere in the Value Stream(s) by:Provide effective cross training for Value Stream associates and backups from other value streams to assure continuous smooth running of the value streamMust be able to lead KaizensWork the Value Stream Manager to develop the future value stream map and manage the plans to achieve it as documented in the Value Stream Tracking CenterAble to foster professionalism with all associates, along with internal and external customersDEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsible for leading operation of one or more plant value streamsCapable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilitiesCapable of creating and maintaining enthusiasm for challengesMust be capable of serving as a model for promoting safety, new ideas, and positive changesUnder the direction of the Value Stream Manager, implement the Parker Lean System and Win Strategy, to ensure a safe work environment, push quality improvements, provide customer service, develop a qualified workforce, and to reduce inventories, operating costs, and lead timesOversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations and metricsResponsible for developing and leading associates, employment decisions, and performance assessments of an assigned plant value stream(s)Responsible for leading all aspects of the plant value stream(s) under the direction of the Value Stream Manager to include:Qualifications:*Education:*High School diploma or GEDBachelor''s degree*Experience:*Demonstrated successful leadership required, 3-5 years in management or supervisor role preferredWorking with Lean & Leading Kaizens*Preferred Skills/Qualifications:*Good verbal and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated teambuilding skillsSound decision making skillsGood math, reading and writing skillsBe able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attentionGood computer skillsRequires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detailSufficient knowledge in accounting, manufacturing, human resources, and inventory controlAbility to work well in a team environmentYou should be proficient in:Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesISO 9001 Certification ExperienceScheduling ExperienceHigh-level Operations Analysis Recruiting and Training Experience
