At New Balance, We Got Now.JOB MISSION:Create, build, and execute warehouse engineering improvement strategies that will drive New Balance. This role will plan, design and direct warehouse processes to maximize efficiencies, eliminate waste and improve customer service.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Support all warehouse engineering functions throughout the New Balance distribution network.Identify and create new engineering opportunities that will bring operational advantages towards providing long term competitive crease warehouse efficiencies by recommending and implementing process enhancements relating to waste elimination by improving equipment design, layout, process flow, customer service and safety. Develop and maintain labor standards, standardized work, and job instructions for all operations.Evaluate process and technology for warehouse capabilities and process flow.Perform data analysis on inventory levels, shipping activity, and receiving activity to produce an optimal storage configuration design and product flow to maximize footprint and warehouse efficiency.Standardize processes and practices across the distribution network.Partner with internal departments to determine equipment specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates to equipment terface with 3PL''s, sales, compliance, and warehouse supervision to continuously improve material handling equipment and warehouse operations.Deliver strategic business plans that strengthen the brand, meet financial targets, and create an environment of success.Implement innovation technologies which demonstrate NB''s commitment to our distribution networks growth to further the organization.Manage continuous improvement and cost reduction projects. Follows up to ensure action items are timely completed and that financial goals are achieved.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with modern warehousing techniques and equipment with a focus on Lean warehousing principles strongly preferred.Domestic and International travel required, frequency of travel dependent on project timelines.Strategic project planning, analytical and technical skills in warehousing processes and methods.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly PC literate with a focus on MS Office; CAD; Project Management and Warehouse Management and Controls.Our Benefits: Our products are only as good as the people we hire, so we make sure to hire the best and treat them accordingly.
