Position Summary: Segue Technologies, A Tetra Tech Company seeks a Data Analyst to provide day-to-day support to our DOD customer on-site at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. Currently work is performed 100% remote. Ideal candidates must be able to report, within a 48-hour notice, to Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX, for periodic meetings. This person will leverage data to improve Business Intelligence (BI) offerings in order to provide more value to end users.Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Understand a specific Air Force system''s data set using existing data models and data dictionaries in order to produce various types of data outputs, analyses, and build various ETL processesBecome a data authority on the system''s key data sets and processesSearch data for relevant patterns and significant relationshipsDesign and build new data set processes for modeling, data mining, and production purposesDevise tools to help business users gain new insights and improve overall business performancePerform data analysis for production of various data products, such as Reports, Data Visualizations, ETL processes, etc.Perform ETL activitiesWork with data partners to define and obtain source data to meet requirementsBuild data transformation processes to transform data to meet requirements or database design requirementsCollaborate with product owner to read/understand/question/create requirements for new data/ETL capabilitiesCreate work break down structures for approved requirements to assignable work components and deliver products against those requirementsAdditional tasks as required Required Skills:Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active CompTIA Security+ certificationUS Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret clearance Minimum 3 years'' experience as a Data Analyst and 5 years of experience in the Information Technology fieldExperience with data analysis/reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft Power BI, Matlab, R, SAS, etc. Tableau experience is a highly desired skillExperience reading/understanding/creating relational data modelsExperience reading/understanding/creating data dictionariesRelational database design experience Data warehousing design experience Experience performing data analysis to investigate data quality issuesSQL and ETL experience Experience with one or more programming languages Strong communication skills in multiple formats, such as writing, explaining, listening, asking, teaching, mentoring, etc.Excellent problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills to solve challenging problemsBachelor''s degree is required, preferable in Math, Applied Math, Operations Research, Statistics, Data Analysis, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field. Any degree will be considered given the candidate''s relevant experience and understanding of data and related theory/skillsDesired Skills:Experience working with DOD clients and dataOracle PL/SQL experience Experience with GitLab or other development pipeline tools, such as Jira, Atlassian tools, etc.Linux experience is a highly desired skillShell programming - administration experience, etc. is a highly desired skillData modeling tool experience Statistics and statistical analysis experience About Segue:Segue Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tetra Tech, Inc.
