Setup Technician 2nd Shift (RCA)

Position summary: The Setup Technician is responsible for changeovers of creels and tufting machines, as well as loading and unloading creels to service creels and tufting machines, efficiently and in accordance with the specification sheets to ensure minimum downtimeEducational requirements: High school diploma or GED requiredSkills and experience:Intermediate math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and percentages requiredGood communication skills, verbal and writtenPrevious tufting experience preferredPrevious textile experience preferrredMust have normal color vision or average to above average shade discernmentInterface White Belt and 6S training preferredEssential duties:Locate paperwork and master for next run and place at machineCheck next creel set for correct thread-up and stage at Tufting machinesCut out creels set and burn in new setRun burns through needles and check for misdrawsRecord changeover time on production reportOperate Tufting machinesRelieve Operators for breaksLoad and unload all creels to the proper thread upRecognize quality problems and make corrections when operating Tufting machineDeposit all yarn and headers scrap into specific containers to be recycledMaximize recycling of all recyclable materials and minimize wasteMaintain a daily log of productionMaintain housekeepingComply with safety rulesComply with environmental regulationsBe aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Ensure ISO procedures are followed.Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.Perform other duties as assignedPhysical demands:Walking up and down stairsConsiderable standingContinuous lifting of up to 15 lbsPushing and pulling a wheeled cart with up to 360 lbs loadOccasional lifting of up to 25lbsWork environment: Non climate-controlled factory environmentWe are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
