Accounts Payable Accountant Located in Mountain View, CA OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The company is looking for an AP accountant to handle the accounts payable function. The individual should have experience in multi-currency conversion and a good understanding of GAAP rules. The individual must also have thorough understanding in general sales and use tax rules, W-9, 1099 filing requirements. In addition, you will also work with external auditor and tax professional for annual audit and provide reconciliation schedules related to AP and Liabilities accruals. We are looking for a Detail oriented and passionate individual contributor that can work independently for this position. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Review and post all expense reports and vendor invoices in QuickBooks. Prepare wire and check batch for disbursement cycle. Prepare respective forms for contractors/nonemployees for annual IRS reporting. Maintain Vendor agreements, payable files, and W-9 folder. Review and post accruals for contractor expenses, general accruals, and travel & entertainment expenses. Maintain Fixed Asset sub-ledger and Depreciation schedules Prepare annual Property tax Return. Prepare Sales and Use tax return. Prepare annual 1099 filing. Assist in annual audit. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The individual should have a bachelor''s degree in accounting or related fields and a minimum of 3 years work related experiences Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Demonstrate ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding concepts FX exchange gain and loss and multi currencies. 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable operation. Good knowledge of QuickBooks software and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products - Excel, Word.
