Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) General Pool

Novant Health seeks Registered Respiratory Therapist IIs (RRTs) to become a part of our Respiratory Resource Pool. The RRT will support the facilities in the Charlotte Market including Presbyterian Medical Center, Huntersville Medical Center, Mint Hill Medical Center, Rowan Medical Center and Matthews Medical Center. This individual will need the ability to travel to facilities in the market as scheduled.Our Registered Respiratory Therapist II(RRT) serve as intricate leaders of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their support system. Respiratory therapists practice under respiratory and ventilator management protocols with a high degree of autonomy. Depending upon the facility, they perform intubations and insert a-lines. novanthealthalliedEducation: Associates degree required. Bachelor''s degree preferred.Experience: Two years acute care respiratory therapist experience preferred.Licensure/certification/registration: Registered by National Board of Resp Care and current RCP licensure in appropriate state Required. BLS Healthcare Provider required. ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.Acts as a patient advocate for the patient and their support system by incorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan.Prioritize job duties according to patients'' needs and changing acuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions, medical orders, etc.Administers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers and transports patients.Ability to evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate routine respiratory care such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy, etc., as well as perform higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations.Demonstrates independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care.
