Who we are looking forThe State Street Alpha team is looking for a qualified leader with strong experience in project management, analysis, system flows and business architecture to execute client implementations of the industry''s first ever front-to-back client servicing platform. The successful candidate must be highly organized and be able to move seamlessly between multiple implementations and changing client requirements. Why this role is important to usThe Alpha Solution Design Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the due diligence, solution design, implementation/onboarding, and post-go-live efforts for several client implementations (likely simultaneous). The role will include implementing solutions not only for specific clients, but also as part of the core Alpha platform that will be leveraged across all Alpha clients.What you will be responsible forAs an Alpha Solution Design Lead, you will:Be responsible for managing the client solutions, business requirements, conversion approach, implementation plan, go-live, and post-go-live activities for converting clients onto State Street''s Front to Back servicing platformQuickly map client''s needs to Alpha capabilities to define client solution, bring gaps and new product ideas back to Alpha product teamAssist front line sales teams in delivering the Alpha value proposition message to new and existing STT clients by presenting and demonstrating the capabilities of State Street''s Alpha productApply in depth knowledge of both technical and operational details of front office, middle office, and data management to create client solutions, and the ability to explain solutions and value propositions to clientsEffectively transfer all the knowledge and information acquired during deal phase to Alpha implementation teamManage the definition of services, service level agreements, in/out scope discussions, and change control items with the client and internal stakeholdersCollaborate with other teams to share approaches, develop best practices and improve team capabilities to successfully migrate clientsCoordinate with a Model Office environment and team for internal and external testing and POC purposesCoordinate with the Alpha documentation team for proposed solutions of functionality within the overall Alpha Services Strategic Product programOrganize and conduct implementation project status meetings, including communicating audience-appropriate project status to internal and external stakeholders, including senior managementSupport the delivery of cross-operations, high priority projects across all typical project phases.Track client feedback/requests and incorporate in product road map where appropriate.Work closely with Business, Data and Solution Architecture to ensure alignment with strategic goals and key business decisions regarding products, services and key business initiatives.Work with Operations business units to assess and streamline processes in order to mitigate risk, cost or service issues and generate efficiencies.What we value Ability to interact with external and internal clients during the sales and onboarding process - specifically CIO, CRO, CTO roles and their directsBring a high level of energy and enthusiasm, ability to generate excitement about Alpha with our prospectsStrong interpersonal and relationship management skillsDemonstrate understanding of Investment Management Operations processes, technology, and procedures, and an ability to learn quickly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and oral; confident in interaction with senior stakeholders.Strong analytical skills including process analysis. Very strong interest in the underlying detail of the analysis is a must.Demonstrate excellent process and project management skills.Ability to organize, prioritize, balance key tasks and manage time fortable facilitating project working groups and possesses strong data gathering skills.Extensive knowledge of State Street platforms including Alpha, Enterprise, Charles River, DataGX and RKS is desired (Internal Candidates only).Education & Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 6 years of experience in investment operations, project management, client implementation and/or business analysis.Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry would be an advantage, as is related experience in technology strategy or in a client service or business function and / or management consulting.Experience with designing new solutions by analyzing requirements, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.Additional requirementsDomestic and/or international travel and flexible working hours may be required (i.e. weekend working and extended hours on occasion, linked to client assignments and project deadlines.)Strong Excel, Word, Power Point skills required. Visio skills preferred.Candidate must be self-motivated, adaptable and show initiative.Candidate must be self-assured and react well within critical deadline situationsAbout State StreetWhat we do.
