Whether you are looking to make a move now, or ready to network for future opportunities, we''d love to connect with you!Responsibilities of a Senior Accounting Consultant may include the following:Driving the monthly closeProviding timely and accurate municating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirementsOur clients seek Jefferson Wells'' help in providing consultants who can be hands-on with some or all of the following Accounting-related tasks:General accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, account and financial statement analysisPreparation/examination or analysis of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving and automating processesParticipation in system implementations or migrations and automation projectsPreparation of documentation for various accounting processesProviding of audit support for external audit, including substantive and controls-related workAssisting with acquisition integration - validation of opening balances and subsequent activityProvide oversight of accounting treatment for Inventory, Other Assets, Leases, components of A/R, as well as other areasDaily cash activity analysis and posting, forecastingTypical Requirements for consideration:Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldMinimum 2 years public accounting or four years of industry accounting with progressive responsibilitiesCPA license preferred but not requiredAdvanced MS Excel capabilities including comfort with Pivot Table and Lookup functionsStrong knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Hands-on experience with various accounting systemsAt Jefferson Wells (we''ve built a reputation for results-driven, innovative workforce solutions that help companies create competitive advantage.
