Training Manager Location: United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO FLSA Classification: Exempt - Salaried Employment Class: Full Time Regular Position Summary: Potawatomi Training, LLC seeks qualified personnel to manage theFormal Training/Voluntary Testing Services and administrative support for USAF Academy Airmen. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage a team that provides Formal Training/Voluntary Testing Services and administrative support for USAF Academy Airmen Manage the military formal training program allocations and the selection process for USAF Academy Airmen. Oversee Testing Proctors in the performance of the following: Participate in the annual DANTES facilities review and myLearning Test Control Facility (TCF) revalidation. Conduct The Voluntary Test Examining function, to include computer facilities management, and operation services, to ensure all systems are in functioning order. Perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate local Communication Squadron IT Help Desk support, as needed. Perform customer service duties. Perform Data Processing Support duties for the section to include a classroom with military and commercial network systems. Use the Air Force Automated Education Management System (AFAEMS) to schedule exams. Develop, maintain and analyze statistical data related to program status. Provide services in the areas of the Formal Training Program and assist with the Voluntary Education and Military Testing programs, as well as multi-functional support to the Education, Training and Testing section when required. Conduct daily test scheduling, security, delivery, administration and management as well as daily tracking and handling of formal training RIPS and updates in MILPDS. Adhere to Controlled Unclassified Information requirements and Industrial Security, General Safety, Mishap Reporting, Mishap Investigation requirements. Provide Facility Infrastructure Support, to include facility, environmental and emergency management support. Participate in meetings as required. Assist in the development of training materials, to include development of lesson plan outlines. Oversee an Administrative Assistant in the performance of the following: Disseminates training notifications, the processing of Records of Individual Personnel (RIPS), proper submissions to TDY to School (TTS), confirmation, in/out processing, retraining requirements and other customer interactions. Coordinate with higher headquarters to identify replacements when primary students are unable to attend professional military education school. Assist with customer service duties via phone, email or in person that include the dispersing of Flight Information. Maintain records and provides assistance/training to staff members. Administrative records are to be maintained in a concise manner that enables simple access to information. Assist in preparing all areas of responsibility, i.e. maintaining accurate records for regulatory inspections. Assist in daily paper and electronic file management in the AF Records Information Management System (AFRIMS). Maintain personal training records in myLearning. Request TDY order preparation and maintenance for Active Duty personnel to attend formal training in accordance with AFI 36-2670 (Total Force Development). Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a bachelors degree Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience preferably in an academic or military school setting. Minimum of two (2) years experience as a testing proctor or office administrator, preferably in a military school setting, a plus. Familiar with the Voluntary Test Examining function, including scheduling, verification, security, outreach, management and proper administration of/over Voluntary Education and Military Tests (to include: DANTES, Career Development Courses, Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, Squadron Officer School, DLAB, Defense Language Proficiency Test, Basic Skills for Aviation Test). Experienced in employing interactive techniques, academic counseling techniques, evaluation, and feedback. Able to communicate effectively and confidently using Standard English. Other Requirements: U.S. citizen, at least 21 years of age Must be able to become familiar with the most current instructions contained in the DANTES handbook/updates, myLearning catalog and specific instructions provided across a variety of tests; maintain currency in all training requirements. Able to pass required examination for text examiners. Possess computer skills to perform duties and administer/maintain electronic testing. Accomplish initial and annual Government required Training (CBT) to include; Information Protection, Information Assurance, Anti- terrorism, OPSEC, COMSEC, FPCON, Records Management, and other training as identified and provided by the Government. Must have a good working knowledge of facility infrastructure, emergency management, and environmental compliance requirements to support civil engineering efforts.
