In this role, the successful candidate will manage financial activities involving both non-sponsored and sponsored federal and non-federal grants, contracts, and agreements. The primary responsibility is to provide a high level of financial support to Skirball.Job Responsibilities:Sponsored Projects- Develop and prepare financial reports for sponsored program awards. Advise faculty and staff on changes in sponsored research pletes annual fiscal year close for faculty portfolios.Prepare annual budget for the research portfolios that are managed by this itiate financial transactions, as related to payroll, to ensure that personnel expenditures are financially compliant.Approve all financial transactions, to thresholds, for each facultys research portfolio to ensure financial compliance (AP, pCard, ePro).Recommend and implement changes to ensure balanced accounts. When necessary, resolve funding overages.Meet on a regular basis with assigned faculty to preset complex/comprehensive financial analysis and projections to ensure balanced accounts.Prepare analysis of fiscal projections to assist PI with operational and strategic itiate financial corrections to accounts in question by working with relevant NYUMC departments and utilizing relevant tools to initiate account changes.Financial Management of faculty research portfolios, including grant and non grant funding sources.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required. Four years progressively responsible experience in a financial position is required. Experience in administrative duties. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite required. Must be able to use eCT, eCPP, eJV, JV SSL tool, ledger reports, Stratajazz, Peoplesoft. Excellent oral and communication skills. Must have the ability to handle confidential information. Must have attention to detail while managing multiple projects in a dynamic fast paced environment, making independent judgments and the discernment to know when such independence is warranted. Must be able to work as part of an effective and highly productive team.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications:Experience in an academic or medical setting.
