OverviewDiesel Tech - B- LevelChannahon, ILTemp to Hire 90Pay: $25-$271st Shift: 8:00am -4:30pm Mon-FriOT: OT is paid while contractor is employed by Launch. After hired and the contractor becomes a direct employee here is no OT.Differential: No shift differential until hired directlyTechnician Sign-on Bonus of $5,000 is paid out in 2 installments$2500 (grossed up) 1st paycheck after 30 days of employment paid after conversion to direct$2500- 1st paycheck after 12 mos of employment paid after conversion to directRequirements:- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic- Tools- Must pass BG, DT and MVR.- Must have clean MVR and be able to obtain CDL after 90 days.Non DOT drug test for non CDL holders & DOT drug test for CDL holders*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:50/50 Tractor -TrailerVolvo, International and Internal Detroit series 60Exp. Yard use vehicles with 5th wheel Yard Dog a plus including Spotting Horse and Hydraulics. ( extra $1.00 boost on rate if have exp.)Able to perform proper Preventive Maintenance - lube, filters, inspection includes truck appearance, interior and exterior, cab related, safety, securityBasic electrical repair and replace starters/alternators/batteriesTires tread, inflation, rotation, wear, recondition wheelsInspect & replace basic engine componentsProficient at brake diagnostic/repair& replace/adjustmentsInspect & replace drive line componentsRemove and replace transmission and clutch (R&R)Advanced and continually upgrading toolsValve and injector adjustmentsRemove and replace steering & chassis componentsBasic welding & cutting 20.
