We lean on our colleagues for their expertise and hold each other accountable.What you''ll be doingAs a member of the Acute Therapies Verification and Validation engineering team, you would be responsible for supporting product verification, validation, and compliance test activities on electrical and mechanical medical device components/systems. Your test expertise will be applied to all levels of product development from prototypes to final design. This will include developing, executing, and validating test methods/creating associated documentation. Interface with/support different groups, e.g., R&D, Project Management, Quality, and manufacturing.Develop/execute verification test methods, protocols, and reports for verification of requirements on components and systemsDrive quality into product development through analysis, test, and timely feedback of test results to the cross functional teamDesign test cases to include test methodology, test setups, materials, equipment, procedure, and acceptance criteria based on requirement and standardFunctional testing of mechanical assemblies, electrical circuits, and systemsKey contributor to cross-functional team meetings/design reviewsReview/analyze requirements and compliance standards as part of test developmentSupport hardware team in product development, concept feasibility, pre compliance and change activities by developing test, collecting, and providing test dataPerform failure mode analysis and root cause investigations; contribute to developing solutionsReview, understand and characterize electrical/mechanical designs to develop test methods and ensure coverage of requirementsLead test activities for electromechanical productsRead/understand medical compliance standards and requirements, evaluate risk, and develop test procedures the ensure requirements are metPerform/lead test execution including being onsite at third party medical device safety test labsDevelop and implement feasibility and characterization testing on design concepts and prototypesWhat you''ll bringBachelor''s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience or Masters and 3+ years of experience in test engineeringExperience with system and component level V&V testing, plans/procedures/reports, equipment, and test methodsDemonstrated results in both Troubleshooting/resourcefulness; use own expertise/guidance from others to identify/resolve critical issues.
