Catering St. Louis is a contract hospitality management and events planning company that has been in business since 1981. Experience a fun, friendly and unique work environment with a part-time job as an Event Team Member. Staff are needed immediately for seasonal positions at some of St. Louis'' finest and most desirable venues. (Locations include venues throughout Forest Park, as well as the Missouri Botanical Garden, The Inns at St. Albans, and many more!) These positions are great for college students or people who are currently employed, since you will set your own availability! College students, stay-at-home moms and dads, nurses, teachers, people with a normal 9-5 routine, or people just looking for a fun position in the service industry are encouraged to apply! What the position involves: Work cooperatively with Event Planner, Event Captain, and other team members Assist with setting up venue Properly set tables before the event Serve hors d''oeuvres and wine to guests Serve food and beverages according to our standards Ensure guest''s needs are fulfilled by being attentive and remaining on the floor Support bartenders, kitchen staff and food runners as needed Provide excellent customer service Clear tables properly according to our standards Assist with breakdown of venue Perform all duties in a safe and careful manner No serving experience required - we will train! Who we are looking for: Must be at least 21 years of age Clean cut and professional No visible tattoos, body piercings or unnatural hair color Demonstrate a positive and professional image and attitude Meet all of our grooming and dress standards Dependable - come to work on time, every time You must have reliable transportation The ability to receive schedule information electronically (via email) Customer service-oriented personality Honest work ethic Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced, event driven environment Excellent verbal communication skills Self-motivated Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. Capable of standing long hours Ability to follow directives Must have a flexible Schedule Minimum availability - 2 weekend shifts per month (Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday) HOURS VARY BY SEASON AND YOUR AVAILABILITY Catered events require a tremendous amount of planning and preparation; however our ultimate success depends upon the professionalism, attitude, and enthusiasm of our Event Staff!
