Manager, IT Network Security Analyst (Hybrid Role)

Job Description Summary: Manager, IT Network Security Analyst, is a technical position assists the Information Security team in securing, monitoring, and administering services and technology in support of PTC Therapeutics business objectives by helping to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network.The ideal candidate should possess technical skills in security technologies, networking, and troubleshooting and be comfortable delivering technical solutions in a fast-paced environment. The candidate needs to be passionate about their career in Cybersecurity and demonstrate the ability to pick up new expertise and technologies.The daily duties include project work, hands-on troubleshooting of security technologies, vulnerability management, network hardening, tracking and resolving complex issues across the enterprise, interfacing with cross-functional teams, and other duties as requested. This individual will work closely with several key individuals and teams and be part of a dedicated team of security professionals who demonstrate superb technical competency, making PTC Therapeutics as secure as possible. The Manager, IT Network Security Analyst supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate..Job Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrimary duties/responsibilities:Administrate, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot security technologies (e.g., firewalls, application-based firewalls, intrusion detection systems, EDR, Zero Trust and servers, and associated software)Conduct vulnerability and security risk assessments of company networks, devices, and 3rd parties for Cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance purposesReview, assess, and document current architecturesWork collaboratively with other groups and divisions inside of PTC TherapeuticsRespond to outages and resolve and document incident ticketsRemain current on emerging security risks, trends, and technologies and share with the teamIdentify recurring security issues and opportunities for improvement, recommending proactive measures and best practices to address gapsReview and update 3rd party risk assessments and questionnairesReview reputation management services and report on any anomaliesMonitor EDR system and alerts for detected threats and respond based upon incident response playbookPlan, implement and upgrade security technologies and controlsAll other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED* Minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience.Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or Cybersecurity and a minimum of 6 years of combined IT and Cybersecurity related work experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated environment or equivalent experience in the cybersecurity field.* Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required.Hands-on/demonstrated experience with segmentation technologies such as Next-Generation Firewalls, Access Control lists, Host-based Firewalls, Web filtering, and Zero Trust technologiesHands-on experience administrating and maintaining enterprise-level firewallsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeRelevant enterprise-level experience within an information security group coupled with a working knowledge of the technical protocols that make up a modern enterprise [i.e., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, SMB, SSH, etc.]Ability to work comfortably and successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and ability to positively influence others or manage indirectlyKnowledge of Cybersecurity best practices and the ability to review existing processes and documentationExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolution skillsInnovative, creative, curious, risk-minded, and passionate about Information Security and Technology.* Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates preferred.Hands-on experience performing vulnerability scanning and the ability to create actionable reports is a big plusKnowledge of security standards, audits, and log analysisExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issuesHands-on experience with packet tracing softwareThe ability to develop procedures and technical documentation for network security-related services/solutions (Firewalls, Zero Trust, Antivirus, EDR, etc.)Experience securing cloud environmentsExperience with Enterprise level Virtualization TechnologiesEnterprise Switch and Router administration experienceExperience with any scripting languagesFamiliarity with CVSS, CWE, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworksRelevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP, ITILv4, Security+, and GIAC, are desired* Travel requirementsUp to 10% travelHybrid positionLI-NM1**At PTC Therapeutics we are seeking candidates in the United States who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or who will be fully vaccinated by the time they begin the position.EEO Statement: PTC Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer.
