SummaryThis position will be responsible for preparing, communicating and tracking all quoting activities both internally and externally.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following and other duties may be assigned.To respond to RFQ''s in a timely mannerTo communicate with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain to gather information needed to quote jobsPrepare documents needed for Quote ReviewRetrieve outside sourcing quotes as needed for Quote ReviewSchedule Quote Review with senior management and follow up as neededComplete Quote Entry and communication of final quote to customer prior to deadlineTo maintain database of quotesTo track jobs won/lost and report to Management on a regular basisTo trend jobs won/lost to improve accuracy of quoting processTo communicate new jobs/customers to company keeping all informedTo understand external market trends and use data when quotingTo understand internal financial resource and use data when quotingQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceAssociates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Engineering or other relevant field (or a combination of education and relevant work experience) preferred.2+ years'' experience working in similar position at manufacturing company preferredPrevious machining or relevant technical experience preferred.Previous experience in customer interfacing positionLanguage SkillsAbility to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and formatAbility to verbally communicate effectivelyMathematicalThe ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
