Job DescriptionDirector of the Communications Talent Center of ExcellenceOverview:The Director of the Communications Talent Center of Excellence (CCoE) is responsible for building processes, trainings, and shared services to support the implementation of our Company and our company''s corporate affairs strategy. This role is responsible for building a knowledge center within Corporate Affairs that develops and implements internal processes to achieve excellence.The CCoE is a new function to support the growing Corporate Affairs organization. The CCoE will have a dual focus on delivering shared services (templates, processes, reporting) and providing best practice support and direction through standardized approaches, tools, and trainings. This leader will work closely with the Corporate Affairs Chief of Staff to develop the CCoE''s core services and resources.The Director of the Communications Talent Center of Excellence will be responsible for enabling a culture of high-performance, continuous improvement, and a commitment to quality and ongoing invocation.The leader will be responsible for developing and executing the CCoE''s core functions. This will include developing a long-term plan for the CCoE that is based on the Corporate Affairs team''s goals and strategy.This leader is highly collaborative, self-motivated, detail oriented and can manage multiple tasks and projects at a time. The leader should have a strong subject matter expertise relevant to Corporate Affairs.This role is based in Rahway, NJ.Scope of work and core responsibilities include:* Program management: Lead the CCoE in partnership with the Corporate Affairs leadership team, including the development of CCoE strategy, objectives, and implementation plans.* Training: Create training curriculum for Corporate Affairs team members and develop a training implementation plan which includes online, in-person, and certification programs.* Shared services: Develop shared processes to standardize Corporate Affairs team members'' approaches to key activities like media monitoring, measurement, and presentations to leaderships (e.g., templates).* Best practices: Provide support and direction using professional experience and through best practices from third-party resources.* Knowledge management: Develop and maintain a knowledge library, create reusable content as a shared resource, and encourage knowledge-sharing among team members.* Support for key initiatives: Plan and execute against organizational priorities as directed by the Corporate Affairs Chief of Staff. This may include serving as a ''player-coach'' on key initiatives where this leader will support the execution of a Corporate Affairs activity.Required experience and skills:* 6+ years of experience in communications and media relations* 2+ years of experience with training or leadership development* Project management skills with proven success managing major projects over long-time horizonsPreferred experience and skill:* Experience working within a global company* Understanding of communications and industry best practices* Demonstrated ability to implement changes for continuous improvement* Superb writing, editing, and presentation skills* Exceptional attention to detail and flawless instinct* Excellent people management skills* Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to network within a highly-matrixed organization and maintain collaborative relationships* Service delivery or customer service experience* Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced environmentOur Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization.
