DescriptionProvidence is calling a Pharmacy Intern (Pharmacy, Variable Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Provide high quality service to all customers; focuses on understanding customers needs and follows through Demonstrate respect for the capabilities, different cultures and or personalities of co-workers and Medical Center publics within the mission/values of munication: Promote and demonstrate effective, open and honest written and verbal communication skills.Self-Management: Demonstrate self-management behaviors which reflect a positive image of SHMC, following established policies and procedures and promote an efficient, cost effective work environment.Ownership /Stewardship and Accountability: Demonstrate good stewardship of resources by treating property of customers, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and co-workers with care and respect.Teamwork: Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of staff and other disciplines for problem solving without blaming.Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility by readily adapting to different situations to complete work.Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, monitors all elements of daily dispensing, inventory, housekeeping and security according to all regulatory agencies and department policies and procedures to ensure quality of services.Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, performs pharmaceutical care programs which include assessment, monitoring and outcomes related to patient drug therapy per department policies and procedures.Assessment: Assess and document pharmacotherapy of the patient.Monitoring: Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, promote and monitors the medical/pharmacy therapeutic plan that will produce specific therapeutic outcomes for the patient.Outcomes: Evaluate and documents outcomes of drug therapy.Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, consistently coordinate and/or implement patient education program appropriate for the patient and based on the patient''s and/or family''s ability, willingness and readiness to learn.Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, perform leadership functions to guide, direct, supervise and coordinate staff to efficiently achieve and maintain an orderly pharmacy unit (satellite/station).Required qualifications for this position include:Current enrollment in a college of pharmacy accredited by the board of pharmacy OR graduate of such college of pharmacyWashington State Pharmacy Intern licenseAcceptable references from former employer(s)Preferred qualifications for this position include:Training in the concepts of pharmaceutical carePreference for individuals with professional affiliationsAbout the hospital you will serve.Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center has a commanding presence in Spokane, Washington and is a beacon of hope and healing for patients throughout the region.
