Senior Software Engineer

Light & Wonder''s gaming team builds cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.Position SummaryEssential Duties and Responsibilities* Performs high-level design and development of assigned projects* Researches new technologies and provide POC and incorporates them into new gaming/systems products* Creates high-level and/or detailed analysis on the design of various components to be used in the Company''s Gaming and System products.* Tests, integrates, writes, troubleshoots, and debugs embedded software applications.* Plans, codes, tests, demonstrates, and trains fellow engineers on software engineering practices followed by Company standards and practices* Documents all tasks performed, solutions to issues, and implementation processQualifications* Bachelor''s degree required, preferably BSEE, BSCE, BSEET, or BSCS or equivalent work experience* MS preferred* 5+ experience in application software/embedded system development with knowledge on system internals and fundamentals.* Experience with either software engineering/embedded software/windows applications.* Gaming industry experience is preferred.Specialized Knowledge and Skills* C, C++, C Programming Languages. Experience in multithreading, Windows sockets programming.* Experience in MSSQL or any other RDBMS.* Knowledge in both .Net frameworks and .Net Core.* Experience in ASP .Net and web technologies like Angular, gRPC, WebSockets/SignalR.* Experience in Code coverage tools, Automated Unit testing scripts will be an added advantage.* Experience in Micro Services knowledge preferred.* Knowledge in Messaging Queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. preferred.* Experience in containerization (Docker, Swarm, etc.) would be added advantage.* Proficiency in Visual Studio IDEs, Linux & Windows Platforms.* Strong attention to detail.* Ability to share expertise and train subordinates* Ability to multi-task and work independently* Good working knowledge and understanding of software modeling in real-time response environments* Strong problem solving and analytical skills* Development, improvement, and analysis of serial communications protocols* Experience with various operating systems* Knowledge of software development life cycleWork ConditionsScientific Games Corporation and its affiliates (collectively, ''SG'') are engaged in highly regulated gaming and lottery businesses.
