Tapestry Solutions supports 85 defense, commercial, and government customers from over 50 US locations and nine countries.Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Hazelwood, this role, you will be working on the US Navy''s premier first-strike weapon, the Tomahawk Missile System. The US continues to modernize all aspects of the missile system and expand its role, including the Mission Planning systems to which this role applies. Tapestry''s Tomahawk Mission Planning organization implements the Tomahawk Mission Planning System (TPS) under contract with the US Navy. TPS is the intelligence behind the Tomahawk system''s mission execution. TPS established the complex missile routing from its First Preplanned Way Point to the target of interest. As such, TPS software development is recognized as the mission-critical element of the Tomahawk Weapons System. Tapestry is modernizing the TPS code base to enable diversification of employment and improve its maintainability through 2052. You will be working with a small, inclusive, and diverse team of less than 50 personnel implementing these modernization initiatives. As a principal software engineer, you will be working in a collaborative agile-like environment producing software code to sustain the Tomahawk Weapons System.Position Responsibilities: Develop and maintain code, unit test and integrate complex software components into the TMP system.Lead efforts to develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, designs, and algorithms.Provide technical leadership for software projects.Lead development, selection, tailoring, and deployment of software processes, tools, and metrics.Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments for complex systems.Provide technical solutions for a diverse range of challenges.Implement TMP and Industry-standard software processes.Collaborate, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.Work under minimal direction.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires an active U.S Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Proficiency in Object Oriented ProgrammingProficiency in .NET Framework, SQL, C++Experience with a software version control tool such as Subversion or GITExperience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software and software testing for complex systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Knowledge of Ada and FortranExperience with Navigation Modeling and Flight SimulationExperience with SOAP and/or REST web servicesExperience with scripting languages such as Powershell and/or PythonTypical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Ph.D., Master+7 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
