THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The IT Manager - Network Engineering: Delivery, Release Engineering and Automation will serve in a leadership position managing Lead and Sr Engineers in the delivery of projects in ULTA''s Datacenters, Clouds, Distribution Centers, Stores and Corporate office environments. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining standards - equipment, topologies, configurations across our technology portfolio and will collaborate closely with the Network Architect and cross-functional architects to evaluate the development and effectiveness of current and new solutions. The Network Manager will also develop automation strategies and project methodologies to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving business to best serve short and long-term outcomes while introducing repeatable runbooks and network topologies.This position requires and experienced, hands-on manager with a deep understanding of network engineering that has moved past the CLI onto the use of network automation and tools for builds and deployments.YOU''LL ACCOMPLISH ALL OF THIS BY: Network Design - Creates network designs and specifications, and overall architectures, topologies, configuration, and documentation of networks and networking technology. Documents user/system interfaces, including validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security, and audit controls. Investigates associated risks and specifies recovery routines and contingency procedures. Translates logical designs into physical designs.Network Support - Develops procedures and documentation for network support. Leads the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of network problems. Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and formation Security - Contributes advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards. Assesses and acts on vulnerability information and undertakes security risk assessments, business impact analysis and accreditation on complex information systems. Investigates major breaches of security and recommends appropriate control improvements. Contributes to development of information security policy, standards, and guidelines.IT Infrastructure: Provides technical expertise to enable the correct execution of operational procedures. Leads the implementation of agreed enterprise changes and maintenance routines. Provides reports and proposals for improvement, to specialists, users, and managers. Change Management: Evaluates risks to the integrity of service environment inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security, and compliance of the business services impacted). Leads the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation of changes based on requests for change. Incident Management: Leads the investigation of escalated incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution. Manages recovery, following resolution of incidents. Ensures that resolved incidents are properly documented and closed. Hardware Design: Designs computing and communication equipment and ensures that hardware designs balance functional, service quality, security, systems management, and sustainability requirements. Translates logical designs into physical designs, and delivers technical prototypes of proposed components for approval by customer and execution by techniciansSystems Design: Reviews others'' systems designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology. Evaluates impact analysis on major design options and assesses and manages associated risks. Sourcing: Investigates suppliers and markets, and maintains a broad understanding of the commercial environment, to inform and develop commercial strategies and sourcing plans. Reviews business cases for alternative sourcing models, and on policy and procedures covering the selection of suppliers, tendering, and procurement. Testing: Reviews planning of the system and/or acceptance tests, including software security testing, within a development or integration project or program. Takes responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and contributes to the execution of these activities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive culture and provide leadership for network engineering teams to achieve superior business results. Create and execute strategy and roadmaps outlining the technologies and investments in infrastructure to ensure network systems are meeting established service level agreements while staying consistent with industry best practices.Manage and create methods of delivery while accounting for architecture tenets: security, reliability, manageability, fault tolerate, simple solutions. Perform capacity planning to ensure operational stability and availability of the team''s operating system offering. Assist in response to external audits, penetration tests, vulnerability assessments and forensic investigations.Contribute to release management, disaster recovery, change control, incident and problem management for the enterprise network technical support functions.Manage, support, and optimize all information technology network & network security infrastructure and applications including but not limited to: F5 load balancers, Meraki & Cisco wireless, Cisco ACI, GCP and Azure.LI-CS1 ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field, or applicable work experience.7+ years of Network Engineering & Design in a Large Enterprise environment.5+ years designing enterprise network/security and data center solutions3+ years building connectivity solutions to Cloud environments, preferably GCP & Azure.5+ managing and developing and network engineering team3+ working on NetDevOps tools, Project Delivery in Agile, Scrum or Waterfall based approach.Demonstrated experience with the rollout of projects and prioritization. 5+ years of experience managing or working with data systems and IT infrastructure technologies5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus.Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts, and then effectively communicate these concepts with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior managementStrong collaboration and negotiating skills.Able to prioritize and execute tasks, while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment.Excellent communication skills; feels comfortable working with non-technical business partnersSkilled and comfortable with tackling complex challenges, either in leading the troubleshooting effort or advising/leading others.Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.Minimal travel required (Distribution centers, Datacenters, Corp offices, training, conferences)Cisco ACICisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferredCisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) preferredDNS/DHCP/IP Address Management tools (Infoblox).Scripting skills with Python, Puppet, Ansible or Chef.
