This includes interfacing with the teams developing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and our Plant Connectivity and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) infrastructure.You will use your leadership, innovation and creativity to design and simulate industrial automation solutions that will revolutionize manufacturing execution and have a sector level impact.The Simulation Engineer Lead responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the tasks outlined below:* Design, simulate and validate Industrial Automation Solutions (6 axis, SCARA, AMR/AGV, PLCs, Conveyance) that support automation of our current and future facilities and programs in the manufacturing areas of electromechanical assembly, surface mount technology, machine fabrication, microelectronics and PCB fabrication.* Identify processes for current products and future product lines where implementing industrial automation and simulation provides a business benefit; assess total cost of implementation and return on investment.* Leverage Process Simulate - Robotics and TIA Portal to advance virtual commissioning and digital twin strategy for simulating automation solutions, reducing risk and ensuring automation success for manufacturing and program areas.* Lead Integration Strategy for Simulation Technology into key strategic pillars such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) - TeamCenter.* Define Structured Approach to create Manufacturing Simulations* Simulation Requirements Management* PLM Integration (Digital Thread Integrity)* Provide direction to external manufacturing automation integrators to model and deliver simulations as per Mission Systems specifications.* Mentor and train simulation practitioners on simulation concepts and skills to advance simulation capabilities throughout BWI facility and Mission Systems.* Establish product and process design rules to enable automation on common platforms.* Brief Sector Operations and Enterprise Leadership on automation and digital transformation concepts and projects.* Lead requirements definition for automation solutions and write statements of work for internal and external equipment suppliers and automation integrators performance.* Establish the business value and priority for capability development by working across multiple manufacturing sites, functional and process areas; earn customer satisfaction via effective implementation of the business objectives.* Lead the project management and communication to ensure successful execution to project objectives; work with leadership to identify objectives and to acquire and track budget.Basic Qualifications:* Bachelor''s degree or higher in Engineering or related STEM area plus 14 years of relevant professional experience (12 years with an MS degree; 9 years with a PhD)* Industrial Automation Simulation Experience using tools like Siemens Process Simulate with OEM (ex. Fanuc Roboguide; Tecnomatix)* 3D Solid Modeling experience using a CAD software such as NX, CATIA, Solidworks* Hands on programming experience with 6 Axis Robotics platforms such as Fanuc, ABB* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.)* Must have fluency in MS Office software applicationsPreferred Qualifications:* Experience using Siemens Process Simulate - Robotics* Experience using Siemens TIA Portal* Experience integrating Simulation Software (Process Simulate) to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems (TeamCenter)* Fanuc Robotics and Siemens PLC Programming experience* Experience with the deployment and integration of enterprise tools and applications* Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications: Agilist, Practitioner, Product Owner, Scrum Master* Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., TFS or Jira)* Project Management Professional (PMP)MANUMSSalary Range: $129,000.00 - $193,400.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
