Description:Job Title: Engineering Technician (4/10 Schedule / 2nd Shift / F35)Job Code: SAS20222408-89428Job Location: Malabar, FLJob Description:L3Harris is searching for a talented Engineering Manufacturing Technician to join the L3Harris team to manufacture and assemble complex next generation avionics hardware.Essential Functions:* Assemble complex electrical components, harnesses, small subassemblies and avionics chassis.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or schematics to perform work duties.* Work directly with engineers optimizing assembly processes and procedures for new product development and recurring manufacturing.* Fabricate, troubleshoot and modify prototype and/or production units in support of new product development and support testing activities.* Support design and implementation of assembly tooling and fixtures to streamline the assembly process.* Verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.* Work under direct supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures.* Lean, continuous improvement mindset.Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or equivalent work experience.Preferred Additional Skills:* Experience in production/manufacturing/prototyping environment.* Experience reading and assembling from engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions* Ability to perform soldering operations.* IPC Solder Certification to IPC-A-610.* Experience with fabrication and integration of incorporated electronic and mechanical assemblies, including complex layered mechanical systems.* Experience in bonding and staking of mechanical components.* Cable harness certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620.* Able to utilize measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances (calipers, gauges, etc.).
